Today was very successful! It is cupcake baking day. I swear it feels like the days are further and further apart from Wednesdays. I just really look forward to baking cupcakes! I got another recipe off of How To Eat A Cupcake who got it from Cupcakes Galore. I really need to get some cupcake books of my own dang it! I have a whole list of stuff I want for Christmas this year!

These weren't like the usual throw all the ingredients in and all that. I was a little unsure if I was doing it right but the cupcakes came out beautiful right from the oven. Just look at them:

Apartment Life

Yesterday was the release for The Sims 2 Apartment Life expansion pack. So, this means I will be taking a break from the Tolbert family and playing another family that will live in a fancy new apartment! I still have pictures of the Tolbert's and a lot has happened since my last update! There's quite a bit of new and exciting stuff in this one. Spells and witches is one..the ability to have new roommates that you can't control being another. I'm excited and I know it's too early to play but I am hoping I will only play for an hour or so then get to work!

Edit: Ok I played for a little bit. Made a new couple and they moved into an apartment. The apartments are super small! At least in the building that I went to. There is a trailer park too! I didn't go there yet. So far though it is pretty fun. I can't wait to dive deeper into it. Here's a screenshot of my apartment and how I set it up. Oh and of course I tried some of the new social features like: hive five, kiss kiss darling, earthly hug, and also tell a story about fame. There's more but I didn't do it. I was trying to cram all I could into an hour.

Not your average slideshow

I went to Roxio online and got to create a cute little slideshow with a couple of the pictures that I have of my cat Lolli (or better known as Lollipop). It was actually really easy to set this slideshow up. More easy than I figured it was going to be. I think the longest part was actually uploading my images. The slideshow like I said is of pictures of my cat. In these pictures she was helping me with the laundry. Make your own after you check mine out.

Behind today

Looks like today I will be behind on everything. I woke up at 8:30 to find that my alarm was shut off. Great, right? I usually wake up at 6 in the morning so that I have enough time to check all the stuff I want then get to work before I wake up. Today is going to one of those days.

The exciting news for the day though is that Shaina and Nick are going to the hospital this afternoon to begin their "homeward bound" thing with Jeremy. You know what that means?? He's coming home tomorrow! Exciting to say the least! Everyone is excited!

Dog questions

My dogs can not always communicate to me what they are feeling and what is wrong when they are feeling down. Most of the times I can tell when something is wrong and I will usually be able to tell the reason. Like if someone leaves the house they are sad and when they eat something they should not have and their belly hurts. The obvious stuff. I'm no dog whisperer!

However, there are always going to be times that I would like to more about my dog and what things are going on with them or if I could care for them differently which would improve their life. Oh, if it were up to them their improvements would be sleeping on my bed and eating the food I eat all the time. Anyway, there is a website that I have recently found which has a lot of different health information and more on your pets. Information such as rabies facts or dog skin information. It is set up really well and is very informative. A site to visit when you want to learn your pets better.

The Jamboree is coming to town!

In about three days the Montpelier Jamboree is going to begin. It is a tiny little thing as you can imagine! It disrupts the traffic going through and around the town but it is worth it because it is actually quite fun. You can get out of your house to do something without spending the money on gas. I'm looking forward to these tall tropic like drinks they have. I wanted one last year but didn't want to spend the money. This year I am going to spend the money dang it! I want the cup too! There is a parade also which is really fun the past couple of times we've been. This year we have actual chairs to sit on! I won't have to sit on the curb in the sun!

Oh, did I mention Jeremy is coming home on Wednesday? I think I did but I'm super excited!

It's amazing what they have

So in between doing some things I have been looking at some websites that have people who make and edit things for The Sims 2. I know, I have been talking a lot about it lately but I am into it yet again like crazy so it'll be on here for awhile yet. It amazes me sometimes the things that they have available! The things people make for the game is never ending. It gets my download folder into trouble because I always have to have the stuff I like. I have to have it even if I don't play with it or put it in my game much. Like moving boxes...why would my sims need that? I don't know but they will have one! Next on my never ending download list is going to be foods! I've never download customized foods! It's on my list!

Cricket in the house - don't kill it!

Just a little bit ago Shaina called for her fiance to come upstairs and kill a cricket! I told her NOO! Crickets in the house are good luck! So, I went in there and took the little guy or gal and put it outside. I don't care if it is just a superstition but we don't need anything bringing us bad luck in anyway. Especially since Jeremy (Shaina's son, my nephew) is due to be coming home any day now! Crickets, I have found, come with a bunch of different superstitions and not just the bringing good luck ones.

I was reading wikipedia on them and here are a few that are interesting:

The singing of crickets in the folklore of Brazil and elsewhere is sometimes taken to be a sign of impending rain, or of a financial windfall.

In Caraguatatuba, Brazil, a black cricket in a room is said to portend illness; a gray one, money; and a green one, hope. The one in her room was brown..hmm

In Alagoas state, northeast Brazil, a cricket announces death, thus it is killed if it chirps in a house

In the village of Capueiruçu, Bahia State, a constantly chirping cricket foretells pregnancy, but if it pauses, money is expected

Crickets are popular pets and are considered good luck in Asia, especially China where they are kept in cages.

Had I known how to save a life

Ladies, every month you probably go through it and you may think that it is a huge inconvenience in the beginning and at certain times but quickly grow accustomed to getting it. I am talking about getting your period. Mother Nature's special gift that only women get. Yeah yeah yeah! What if someone told you that with this "special gift" that you have you may be able to fight diseases and possibly even cure one in the future? After reading the C'elle Client Testimonial about it and all the information in which they provide I do believe this is actually a pretty good and noninvasive way to get the collection of potentially life saving stem cells.

When you learn About the Science of it and what C'elle talks about you will further understand it better. From their website it talks about how perhaps one day the stem cells found in the menstrual blood may help to fight and or possibly cure diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, MS, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. How amazing would you feel if you contributed to something that could make that much of an impact in the world and possibly even save lives?

Early winter or just temp drops?

I woke up this morning and had to put a sweater on. In fact, when we went to the store today I left my sweater on. It is a bit chilly today and it hasn't warmed up much. No, I take that back. It warmed up when I was cleaning the bathroom and kitchen but that is just because I was moving around. My mom was telling me that the Farmers Almanac says that we are supposed to be having an early winter and it is going to be abnormally cold and more snow. Nice! Jamie had commented just yesterday that he thought we would have an early Fall due to the leaves already falling off the trees and some of the flowers were beginning to die off. I do have to agree that we will be having an early winter. Which is okay with me. I just don't like when it's so cold I can't warm my feet up. This year should be better though since Mom is getting her room (the attic) insulated and it will help keep a lot of the heat in. Plus the down comforters and the new comforter which is heavy that we have will be good.

Breitling watches

Do you know what time it is? If someone would ask me that I would have no idea. That is unless of course I am sitting in front of my computer or watching television where I can just look at the TV guide and check the time. I do not wear a watch and I have not worn a watch for years. In fact, I believe it has been about four or five years that I have not worn one. I would like to get into the habit or wearing one again but I have yet to find one that fits me just right. When I look for a watch I want it to fit my lifestyle, personality, and all clothing types. I would also like to find a watch for my husband to wear so that he will know the time when we are out also. Besides it just looks nicer when you have a watch on.

Breitling watches are really nice looking watches. I have been looking at them for a little while now and am actually really enjoying what I see. They have watches that will go good between casual and formal wear which is what I really would like to see Jamie wear. Breitling watches are also a really finely made watch. Unfortunately they are not something that I personally will be able to afford anytime soon. So, he is going to have to wait for a watch like that. Although they are really nice and I wouldn't mind getting him and myself a Breitling watch.

Hundreds of the same posts

I visit hundreds of blogs daily as I drop cards on other peoples websites for Entrecard. As you can imagine I do not read them all. I do however look at the first post titles and if it catches my interest I will continue reading and perhaps comment. However, I have noticed for a good while now that most blogs write about the same subjects. It is basically the same blog posts all over the place but worded differently. For example the Olympics. I know this is a big deal to some people and some people really enjoy them. The opening and closing ceremony is the main thing that I see on a lot of peoples websites out there. I have to be honest I don't care about the Olympics at all. Maybe that's why I notice it more or I don't know.

It's not just the Olympics but also different pictures and stuff.

I have heard a lot of different things that people do to freshen their bodies up as well as lose a little bit of weight. The stories are astounding to say the least! Ruby's in heat...AGAIN

Well the other day we noticed that we were having little blood spots all through out the house. We have three unaltered female dogs in the house so it was a bit of mystery in which dog it was. I did a tiny check (lift of the tail) and could not see who it was. Ok, I did not look very hard! I don't want to stare at the dogs "areas". Well today I found out that it was our dog Ruby. She's bleeding quite heavy. I told Jamie to put a pad on her. He said no. Dang it! Why not???

The future

Jamie and I hope to some day be able to get a big chunk of land somewhere out in the middle of nowhere and build a house on this plot of land. Not just our house but we want it to be big enough to build a house for each family member and family which they have. We are a super tight knit family and want to stay together. So I have been looking into different companies for custom homes and have found that Custom homes by Schumacher Homes are exactly what we are looking for. They are affordable and built well.
